Role of Your HOA

The Board of Directors is a group of 4-6 volunteers elected to multi-year terms after a nomination process culminating at the annual meeting in October.  Board members meet on a regular basis to address neighborhood concerns, plan future capital projects and maintain a fiduciary responsibility to neighbors.  The board's goal is uniform application of covenants and community wide standards as outlined in the founding documents, along with maintenance of community amenities.  

No single member of the board is responsible for anything. Votes, plans, changes, etc. under the purview of the Board are addressed as a group.  We ask that all questions, concerns, critiques, etc. be forwarded to the board via 1) email (hembstead.hoa@gmail.com), or 2) Cusick (email or phone).  Using email allows for easy dissemination of information to the entire board.  Please do not email, DM, text or call individual board members with formal issues or complaints.  

The HOA has partnered with Cusick Management to complete a host of duties at a contract price.  Neighbors should submit comments, complaints and concerns regarding neighborhood common areas and amenities via email (service@cusickcompany.com) or phone (704-544-7779).  Cusick website can also be accessed for submissions. 

What Cusick Management is Responsible For

• Backoffice management of semi-annual dues payments
• Backoffice management of bills, invoices, taxes, preparation of financial statements                   
• Overseeing of bids; monitoring contracted work on amenities and HOA property
• Assisting HOA in performance of scheduled board meetings, annual neighborhood meeting
• Enforcement of Community Wide Standards and Covenants via notices, drive-bys
• Fielding of comments, complaints and concerns from neighbors

What Cusick Management is NOT Responsible For

• Mitigating conflict between neighbors
• Provide security service to neighbors
• Handling street light, speed bump, sidewalk or public street complaints
